Welcome! or Welcome Back!

Welcome! or Welcome back!

If you’ve never visited us before or need a refresher on what we have to offer, this page is for you. Here is some information to get you started using the Pitt Libraries. As always, you can Ask Us any time you have a question.

  • Reserve a Group Study Room in Hillman Library. Group study rooms at our subject libraries and regional campus libraries can be used on a first-come, first-served basis. Most group study rooms are equipped with monitors for screen sharing.
  • Teach and learn with us! We’re here to support students and faculty with teaching, learning, and research. Please reach out to your liaison librarian to schedule one-on-one research support, in-class instruction sessions, timely workshops, and more.
  • Gain new skills by taking one of our many workshops on topics like data visualization, 3D scanning, and many more!
  • Looking for a course reserve for a class? You can search for your course reserve materials in PittCat.
  • Would you like to recommend a book or film for us to purchase? Just fill out this form to request us to a print or digital book or this one for film and media.
  • The Archives & Special Collections’ Reading Room in Hillman Library or at Thomas Blvd. are open for research use. To make an appointment, please see our Visiting Archives & Special Collections page.
