Receipt and End Processing Specialist

This is a regular full-time position in Technical Services in the Thomas Blvd. building. The hours of work are Monday-Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Incumbent is responsible for recording the receipt of ULS library materials in a variety of languages and formats using the library management system (LMS), Ex Libris Alma. Incumbent is also responsible for mail preparation (including shipments of materials for outsourced cataloging), loading dock shipping, and receiving and distributing mail to the Technical Services department. Incumbent completes physical processing of materials, ensuring that they are appropriately labeled and secured, with property stamps and security strips applied if appropriate, and then transferred to the mail room for delivery to correct ULS locations. Candidates will be expected to recognize, respect, and work effectively with individuals and groups with diverse perspectives and backgrounds in all aspects of their work and take initiative in learning about issues relating to equity, diversity, and inclusion.

High school diploma. 1-2 years of relevant experience, preferably in a library technical services setting. Experience with an integrated library system desired. Experience working with print materials in languages other than English desired.
