The Formation of the BLACK ACTION SOCIETY at Pitt: “TOTAL JUSTICE AND TRUE BLACK FREEDOM” Wednesday, February 28, 2018 Hillman Library, First Floor Dick Thornburgh Room, 4–6 p.m. Join us for a discussion of the African American experience at Pitt told through the lens of the formation of the Black Action Society in 1968. Several panelists were residents at Pitt during this formative time and will share first-hand recollections. Material from the University Archives documenting the Black Action Society will be on display. Sponsored by the University Library System and the African American Alumni Council. Light refreshments will be served.
