ETD Workshops

ETD Template and Formatting Workshops

We offer instructional sessions to teach you how to use our MS Word template and Adobe Acrobat Pro to properly format your paper. Both programs are covered during each class.

Bring your laptop to follow along if you'd like. We have PittNet wireless access.

The location is the Amy Knapp Room at Hillman Library.
The room is located on the ground floor, just past the elevators in the central hallway.

ETD Copyright Workshops

Know your options before you submit! We offer workshops on copyright and permissions that will help you secure the information you need before you submit your ETD. These one-hour workshops will cover the basic rights that you have as a creator and user of scholarly works that will not only help you with your ETD, but will be foundational for your future scholarship.  Look for upcoming "Copyright and Your Thesis or Dissertation" workshops in our workshop calendar

In this workshop, we will cover what material you have to request permission to use and how to do so. We will also cover your options as an author for dissemination of your ETD available via D-Scholarship and ProQuest. 

Bring your laptop and any figures, tables, or other material that you want to re-use in your dissertation. We have PittNet wireless access.
