Chemistry Library


The Chemistry Library holds the main chemistry collection at Pitt. Weprovide resources and services to support teaching and research in chemistry and related chemical sciences. Our collection includes print and electronic resources, books, journals, and databases such as SciFinder and Reaxys. We specialize in subjects including analytical, biological, inorganic, organic, and physical chemistry, chemical synthesis, materials and nanoscience, spectroscopy, electrochemistry, and more.

Our services include: 

  • Lending books, course reserves, borrowing items from other libraries (interlibrary loan; EZ-Borrow)
  • Reference consultations, assistance with using library resources
  • Library instruction for courses, resources, and methods

Our facilities include:

  • Scanner and two computers (University printer is available nearby in the building lobby)
  • Carrel seating
