International Association of Music Libraries, Archives and Documentation Centres (IAML), Perigeux, France, July 8-13, 2001: Met with the Board of IAML-US to help in the planning for the 2002 IAML meeting in Berkeley, CA.

American Musicological Society annual meeting in Atlanta, GA, Nov. 15-18, 2001: Met with the AMS President, Jessie Ann Owens on potential joint projects (music journal titles in JSTOR; RILM; RISM) and fundraising efforts between AMS and the Music Library Association.

Music Library Association 72nd annual meeting in Las Vegas, NV, Feb. 18-22, 2002: as President of MLA responsible for chairing the Board of Directors meetings, and the annual membership business meeting, among other duties.

I composed a tutorial for one of the Japanese online databases for researchers and scholars of Japanese Studies.  This tutorial has been mounted on the web site  (http://www.library.umass.edu/subject/easian/askeasl/askEASLguides.html)as a joint project of AskEASL  guide (http://askvrd.org/askeasl/mainpage.asp) which is a part of CEAL library instruction. Also, activities and outcomes of the Consortial Licensing Task Force are reported to the Winter issue, 2001 of the Asian Studies Newsletter and February 2002 issue of the Journal of East Asian Libraries.
