Haskell Library- Renew Books Online
How to Renew Books Online Using PITTCat
It is possible to renew most library materials, however, some restrictions apply. Materials that are already overdue are NOT renewable online. Some Libraries restrict the number of renewals you may make on borrowed material. Items whose renewal limit has been reached, or that are overdue already will receive a "Not Renewed" message and must be returned to the library. Also, if you have outstanding fines or your registration has expired, you will not be able to renew materials.
* Connect to PITTCat+, the online catalog. Click <My Account> and enter your Pitt number and your last name in the appropriate boxes. Then Click <OK>.
* A list of titles of all Pitt library materials presently charged out to you will appear. Click the title under the RENEW? column next to those titles you wish to renew. The click <Renew>.
* Always verify that all books were actually renewed. Some books may have holds, or be overdue, which prevents renewal.
* Under My Library Record, a borrower may also check to see if they have any oustanding fines and verify their current mailing address.
If you want to verify your renewals or have questions about online renewals, call the Haskell Library Circulation Desk at 814-827-4439. You may also request a renewal in person at the Circulation Desk.
Renewal Policies and Restrictions
Books that circulate for two weeks can only be renewed once. Special borrowers may only renew books once for an additional two weeks.
