Library Account Email Notifications


Beginning in October 2006 the ULS will switch from mailing paper notices about the status of your library account, including notices for overdue books with associated fines, recalls for books checked out to you, availability notices for books you’ve requested, invoices, and cancellation notices for requests that you’ve cancelled, to a faster email notification system. This applies to all current University faculty, staff, and students.*

What Do I Have to Do?

Nothing, except read your Pitt email!**

Notices will be emailed to your official University email address, which is your University Computer Account username followed by @pitt.edu (University E-Mail Communication Policy).

If you prefer to read your email at a different email adress such as Yahoo! or Gmail, please see the “Forwarding University Email” support document under Electronic Mail from the CSSD Help Sheets page.
