Owen Library Information Literacy
The Johnstown Library staff is committed to the development of student information literacy skills and collaborating with classroom faculty to teach students to be knowledgeable and effective users of information resources. Information literacy is essential to the success of students, and is the basis of lifelong learning.
Librarians are available to assist classroom faculty with integrating the University's information literacy goals into their curriculum. In addition to course-related sessions, the Library offers a number of instructional resources, including ULS LibGuides. Classroom faculty may request the creation of a LibGuide for any course being taught by contacting the LI Coordinator. Librarians can also offer assistance to embed the library into Courseweb pages, update or collaborate in the creation of library research assignments.
For assistance, more information or to schedule a library instruction session, Pitt-Johnstown faculty can contact Paul Bond, Library Instruction Coordinator, at 269-7287 or e-mail firstname.lastname@example.org.
