Class visit to Special Collections

Last week, we had a class on Tudor England visit Special Collections in Hillman Library to view materials published between 1485-1603, and learn some of their history. Books in our collections include a Book of Hours (1489), Foxe’s Book of Martyrs (1563), Holinshed’s Chronicles (1577), a 1570 translation of Euclid’s Elements of Geometry, and more. Students have the option to further analyze one of the texts in lieu of a term paper.
