The Art of Children's Literature Display: Fall 2009

This display was created to highlight the beautiful and imaginative artwork found in children's literature.  Book covers as well as full page spreads were used to capture the art of children's literature at its best. The bulletin boards also incorporate both text and images from several picture books to show the important connection between word and image. Caldecott Medal winners and honor books were showcased along with other innovative and eye-catching books. Some of the books included in the display: "The Very Hungry Caterpillar" by Eric Carle, "Olivia" by Ian Falconer, "The Invention of Hugo Cabret" by Brian Selznick, "Feathers forLunch" by Lois Ehlert, "Kitten's First Full Moon" by Kevin Henkes, and"Zen Shorts" by Jon J.
