Geographic Information Service
The Geographic Information Service provides access to GIS (geographical information systems) software as well as statistical and geographic datasets. You can create basic political maps, thematic maps, geocode, etc. using the data that we have, or you can bring along your own data.
The Geographic Information Service is located next to the Main Information/Reference Desk in G-7 Hillman Library
- If you need in-depth assistance you need to schedule an appointment with Mark C. Scott at 412-383-5097 or Tom Twiss at 412-648-7730.
- If you are already familiar with our resources you can sign-up for a machine using the sign-up sheet in G-7.
- We are closed on weekends, University Holidays and during interim periods. Check the schedule of Hillman Library hours.
