The East Asian Library supports the Asian Studies Program for instruction and research in Chinese, Japanese and Korean studies. The library houses major East Asian language collections in most of the disciplines in the humanities and social sciences. It is one of the major East Asian collections in North America, with over 250,000 volumes of Chinese, Japanese, Korean and Western language materials and over 2,000 periodicals.
