Search Engines:
To Google Or Not To Google?
That is the Question!

What is a Search Engine?
Search engines don't search the whole Web, only a fraction of it. Before a search engine searches, a piece of software called a spider gathers a collection of sites from the Web. This process of gathering web sites is performed without any kind of quality selection or editing done by humans. The search engine then searches within this collection of sites.
