Searching for Companies On the World Wide Web

Some companies have a URL that can be guessed. Try one or two obvious possibilities before moving on to directories or search engines. For example:
Home pages of public companies are relatively easy to find. Most of the many web sites that provide stock quotes also provide links to corporate home pages. A few of these stock quote sites are listed on our Internet Resources page. There are sites which index companies' home pages and provide this information in directory or searchable format, sometimes along with a company profile. A few of these sites are: General search engines such as Lycos and AltaVista can also be used, but the results can be unsatisfactory with certain corporate names.
