Description:

The Directory of Scholarly Electronic Journals and Academic Discussion Lists is divided into two parts: Part I. Scholarly Electronic Journals, and Part II. Academic Discussion Lists.

The first part of the directory contains the list of scholarly electronic journals. This e-journals database is maintained by the Association of Research Libraries. Entries are indexed by both journal title and subject. Refer to the thesaurus for the list of headings in the subject index.

A directory of academic discussion lists make up the second part of the directory. These electronic conferences, which include newsgroups, MUDs, MOOs, MUCKs, MUSHes, mailing lists, interactive web chat groups, etc., reflect topics of interest to scholars and professionals for use in their scholarly, pedagogical, and professional activities. The e-conferences in this directory are all accessible via Internet services including email, Usenet News Readers, telnet, gopher, or WWW.
