Description:
Global Education Database Online (or GED Online) provides time series for education data complied from UNESCO and USAID. It is divided into 3 sections:
- UNESCO Statistics: This section includes data for 145 indicators of over 200 countries. Data is given on five year intervals up to 1990 and annually thereafter.
- Demographic and Health Surveys (DHS) Statistics: This section provides data for primary secondary and adult education by sex and rural-urban residence. They are derived from 79 household surveys conducted between 1986 and 1997 in 52 countries.
- Geographic Region Section: This section is divided into 5 regions, with countries listed alphabetically under each regions.
