Description:

Search documents that reveal gender perceptions and realities from 1450-1910. The collection is composed of contemporary essays, biographies, and historical documents, chronologically arranged in five catagories:

  • 2. Domesticity and the Family
  • 3. Consumption and Leisure
  • 4. Education and Sensibility
  • 5. The Body

A topic index is helpful for finding documents realated to a specific subject. (ex. chivalry)
