Description:

Choice Reviews Online is the internet version of the monthly print magazine, Choice: Current Reviews for Academic Libraries.  It is published by The Association of College and Research Libraries, a division of the American Library Association.

Choice is directed toward academic librarians and faculty as a resource for collection development and scholarly research.  It covers more than 50 sub-disciplines spanning the humanities, science and technology, and the social and behavioral sciences.

Each issue contains approximately 600 reviews of recent books and electronic resources (including websites), a bibliographic essay that explores the literature in a specific topic, and “Feature” articles on current issues in the library field.

Choice Online is searchable by a range of criteria including by academic discipline, CHOICE issue, author, and title.  The database is updated mid-month, roughly coinciding with mailing of the print version.
