Thirty-six titles (37 volumes) about Modern China published in the first half of the 20th century are available for viewing. The titles cover two categories: Primary sources and Reference tools. Primary sources are divided by subject: history, law, literature, political science and social sciences. Reference tools are arranged by type: bibliography, chronology, directory, handbooks, statistics and yearbooks.
The Modern China Studies Web site is hosted by the Digital Research Library of the University Library System, University of Pittsburgh. This pilot project enabled the DRL to experiment with adapting new methodologies, tools and techniques for creating, processing, and indexing digital library content for foreign language materials.
