The American Theological Library Association's ATLA Religion Database, is the leading international database indexing citations in all scholarly fields of religion. It is a compilation of three printed indexes namely: Religion Index One: Periodicals, Religion Index Two: Multiple Author Works and Index to Book Reviews in Religion. It covers such topics as Biblical Studies, World Religions, Church History, and religious perspectives on social issues. The database consists of more than one million bibliographic records covering the research literature of religion in more than 34 languages. It includes more than 350,000 article citations from 1,400 journals, more than 150,000 essay citations from 14,000 multi-author works, and nearly 350,000 book review citations.
